Instrument Sizing | |
|
Bowed stringed instruments are made in many different sizes for players of all ages. Students begin lessons on the instrument in the size that fits them and trade up as they grow. It is very important to begin taking lessons on the proper size instrument or students can have technical problems. Each teacher has his/her own approach for sizing students. The instructions provided below demonstrate sizing for violin, and viola. They are intended as guidelines only and represent one approach for properly sizing instruments. | |

Should I take private lessons?"
Of course! All students benefit from private lessons. A private lesson with a qualified professional will help your technique and prepare you for the challenges of a solo or orchestral music.
